TAM cooperates with several worldwide, renowned car rental companies to guarantee availability in any season. Depending on the company, rental policies might vary; however, following are the main conditions/regulations:
* An additional airport tax must be paid, with some companies, if the car is directly delivered to the airport.
* Most car rentals have free pick-up and drop-off services in San José, in addition to both airports.
* Free mileage.
* Insurance expenses might vary depending on the vehicle and car rental.
* Drivers must be 21 years old, and have a valid driver´s license and passport.
* Client must make a deposit directly to the car rental, payable in cash, or by any of the major credit cards.
* Fuel is not included.
* Tank must be full when returning the car.
